Hanas logistics assisted the emergency management department of the autonomous region in successfully handling a LNG leakage accident
On August 13, Hanas logistics received a notice from the fire brigade of Yinchuan economic and Technological Development Zone that two trucks and a tank truck transporting liquefied natural gas had a rear end collision accident near the No. 2 bridge of the connecting line of National Highway 110, resulting in the leakage of liquefied natural gas from the tank truck. Hanas logistics needs to go to the accident site to assist in the disposal of the leakage accident. Hanas logistics immediately started the accident emergency response procedure, established a rescue team, and sent rescue vehicles and rescue personnel to the accident site.
After arriving at the site, Hanas logistics rescue team shall organize on-site detection and evaluation, and formulate rescue plan after consultation with the emergency management department of the autonomous region and Yinchuan fire brigade. Due to a large amount of LNG leakage, flammable areas are formed around the expressway. Firstly, The fire department shall spray the leakage area and the ground, and successfully separate the three vehicles under the condition of ensuring safety. After the vehicle is separated, according to the damage of the vehicle, it is judged that the leakage stoppage operation of the tank car cannot be completed on site, and the tank pouring conditions are not available. After discussion with the on-site rescue department, it is decided that the fire brigade shall arrange a water monitor to dilute the gas concentration on the site and empty the liquefied natural gas stored in the tank car on the site.
The emptying operation began at 19:00 on August 13. As of 5:00 on August 14, the LNG in the tank was discharged. The rescue team carefully inspected the leakage part of the tank, detected the natural gas concentration in the regional environment, and safely dragged the accident tank car away from the site after confirming that there was no risk. Finally, with the joint efforts of everyone, the danger was successfully eliminated.
